I had a Tzeentch daemon force I was building on a lark for 40k. When Sigmar's circle bases were confirmed, I was slightly elated, due to being able to get two different games in with one force, without rebasing. After playing 11 games, 8-1-2 (W-T-L), I can agree that shooting can be potent in Sigmar. Though my force has nothing that boosts their shooting, I am able regularly remove models from my opponent's force. Yes, Duardin shooting is amazing. I have yet to play against Aelphs. Against a high speed Daemonettes force, I got rick-rolled. Being the best casting force in the game, Sylvanneth wild woods list ruined one of my days also. But all of my shooting is predominately on a flat stat line, 4/4 with 1 wound saveable. My flamers are silly good, 4/3 D3 wounds with possibility to get 3 more or give 3 back. Tzeentch daemons Do Not Close Combat. So I have to think of my magic phase and my shooting phase as my combat phase. Cause 5/4 with 1 wound does not cut it. So if a tournament I could go to is going to neuter what makes my force decent, I do not need to participate. Everyone keeps crying about a balance, Warhammer World just put on, or is about to, a Sigmar event. Up to 100 models, so if you want to be the guy who bought and brings 100 bloodthirsters, I know that store appreciated your money, you can. Is that amount of wounds highly sketchy, yes. Is there any comp? No. Play the game. If an event organizer has to build a 27 page comp system for a four page rule book, do you want to play with 27 pages of rules to remember or just 4?
