Okay, So some friends and I think we've come up with a good way to "balance" AoS...

(Bonus, it uses your Army Books!)

We took our old Army Books and just made armies off of those points WITH these rules changes...

1) NO "Must take 25%", NO "0-xx" Units max.

2) Do not buy any unit/character Upgrades, Items or Weapons. Consider they already come equipped with them.

3) ONLY pay the models BASE cost times how many you take.

The main reason we did NO Unit caps was to keep 'some' of the spirit of AoS in the game plus, with the Main AoS rules NOT limiting you as to which Armies you can draw from, this change helps with doing an all (A)elf Army, as in Wood and Dark being in one army. Or Brits and Empire in one army (as in the fluff).

Granted these can be changed as you want but this seems to work for the most part. We did a max points game of 1750 and it took a few hours (We also set up the table as if it were the same density as a 40K table). I think these rules will work best at 1000-1250pts.

Would like to know what others think.

I'm sure it won't be balanced, but then again I think it will be impossible to balance these rules well at all. What it will be is an easy and quick "balance" system so the players have some semblance of a fair and interesting game. Not a bad idea at all

Well I think the days of a Fantasy based Tournament level/style game from GW is NOT gonna happen anytime soon. But, I think this will make AoS a more enjoyable game to play in a store for random games if people maybe use something akin to these rules/framework. I'm not looking to make it a tournament level game. Just something close to Red army vs. Blue army with "some" twist...

But I do thank you for the comment.
