OK, I have want of servitors and do not wish to use the direct order only failcast of the old sculpts. That being said I would like people to weigh in on the making of servitors using existing GW plastics... I am thinking of using the new electro priests as the basis for the servitors. Any thoughts or suggestions on this?

You say that I am crazy. I say that you are right!

Convert some. I am currently making some heavy servitors. Check my sig if you want some ideas. Just replace the tank with legs.

Edit: wow I really didnt fully read your question. Electro priests are quite pricey. Try termies with different heads or tac marines.

Certainly the new Adeptus Mechanicus humans can be pretty easily converted into classic-style marine servitors. As LeCacty says, this is an expensive option though - I wouldn't do it personally unless you really want the AM look or have uses for all the leftover bits.

But to be honest, even the official GW models just look like muscular humans with lots of bionics, including whole arms replaced by weapons, so yeah, conversion is an easy option unless there's nothing in your bits box. Suitable base human models can be found throughout the 40K and WHFB range.

If you really want to use the plastics, I would sift through the Fantasy Battles stuff. I converted the Forgeworld Tech Thralls for my servitors.

I've used a kitbash of Imperial Guard Cadian torsos and Fantasy High Elf legs to make mine, with hooded Mechanicus heads, then attached the weapons to their arms and used plasticard to make some armour plating, it is surprisingly effective.

I use Fantasy Zombies with Necron parts for bionics. But that's because I like the old edition aesthetic of giant guns.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!
