Ok, so I was playing an Apoc match with my friends earlier this week. One of our friends surprised us with a Warlord titan(shock!). Now one of my teammates casted invisibility on his units. The next turn, my opponent placed the blast marker next to them, but not with the center of the hole on the unit. He said it was allowed because the warlord can target the ground and is able to place the center of the blast on the ground if he wanted too. We did not argue with him because we did not want to spend 10 mins trying to debate it and look for it. Was he wrong? and does that rule allow him to place the black anywhere without targeting a unit?! Seems like a hard counter to invis.

The Warlord Titan may use any of its Blast marker weapons to target areas of the battlefield, rather than enemy units if it wishes, including buildings and ruins, etc.

He's not wrong. He does not have to target a unit with his blast weapons. If he has the rules, there should have been no need for debate. If he hasn't, then he shouldn't even be playing it

Yarp, totally allowed. Only counters to World Burner are void shields and Zooming Flyers I'm afraid

Not only can he do that, he can place the template directly over a model in your unit and "target" the ground beneath that model. Of course, given that you're using invisibility, you shouldn't expect too much sympathy.

He had the rules, we just didn't think twice about him making them up. Just starting thinking about it now, and wondered if he over looked something. Well atleast they made it way worth its points and money lol
