Hi,

does anyone know of a company that does 54mm (or let's just say anything bigger than 28mm) modern military miniatures?
I am building some trophies for series of friendly mil shooting competitions.

Currently, I am using Hasslefree's Modern Adventurer range, which is so cool that I got back into painting miniatures (have a look at Mongrel, Deano, Bergil, Demon...), but I would like something bigger.

Cheers,
T

Oh, loads - a whole minis industry in itself, but under the banner of display figurines rather than wargaming minis. Just for a taster, look at the list of manufacturers down the left side of this webshop. Also, browse and ask at the planetFigure site and forum.

'54mm' is about 1/32 scale. Seems to be more of a following for 1/35 military figures than 1/32 (to go with the greater range of 1/35 military vehicle model kits, I guess) but it's not too far off, and one scale among many.

I'm sooo, sooo sorry.

As Vermis said, there are a ton of suppliers for modern figures in larger scales; 1/35 figures are widely available for the vehicle models in this scale, with 70mm, 90mm, and 120mm figures also available. For example, the Black Dog 1/35 resin figures, Accurate Armor figures, Academy, Tamiya, Trumpeter, and many small companies producing resin figure lines. You can look online at any of the plastic military model kit dealers, and another possibility is to look through the announcements in the 'Figures' forum at Armorama.com to find companies producing figures individually or in sets.

Ah, that's the better search term. And using modelling scale.
That' how I need to go on about it. This is a lot better. Thanks, srmally and Vermis!
