Subject: A lack of rumors for what is to come after AoS...

Don't get me wrong, we had a TON of 40k only rumors before AoS and the static mention of AoS coming out - but where are all the rumors for what GW will release after AoS? Normally we have a bevvy of things to come on our plates, or at least an inkling of the next releases.
Does this mean we already have heard of what is to come for the rest of the year? Or are the rumor-mongers fairly silent? Will AoS consume the rest of the year? Usually we know more by now, so I just find it odd that there is a lack of rumors for what is to come after AoS....

The rumours have been few and far between for a little while now, some weeks despite having a hunt I've had no idea what's been coming. Maybe GW have managed to plug the leaks

WhisperofTruth reiterated that she will "go against Sad Panda" and declare that Tzeentch is still the next 40k release. Although in a private message and on the forums she mentioned that it could be possibly Tau will be next.
Very interesting, because I'd like to know if I should bring Thousand Sons or new Ultramarines to a big tournament event in January 2016.

There'll be more rumours in a week or two after GW marketing come off their post AoS release holiday and start viraling out some more leaks.

That is so true. It's GW that gives out the leaks. We have no leaks so we can concentrate on AoS. Once it's done, GW will give out more leaks

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

I think somebody mentioned (during the Forgeworld day) that there will be a lot of AoS releases. They have their Sigmariens and now the need to add stuff for all the other factions. If I remember correctly the existing army lists for legacy armies won't be supported much beyond what they got now and they need to seed their NEW ORCS, NEW ELVES, NEW; EMPIER, NEW DWARVES, and all the rest of them (if I remember correctly with all the unit/regiment/hero rule included in the box).
I don't know how much of this is true but it's what I interpreted form all the AoS rumours, also all these new plastic boxes need to be adjusted to the Sigmarines size (that probably means they will all be a little bit bigger but not Sigmarines big). That way they get to push many new AoS releases.

There will of course be plenty of 40K stuff coming out. GW cannot afford to neglect their main game.
There will also be plenty of AOS stuff coming, otherwise the system will wither on the vine.
The fact there have been no rumours for a week indicates as Notprop said that GW have been busy with launching AOS and recovering, and of course the player community has been deeply concerned with AOS too.

I can't wait We know Tau is coming this year for sure. With absolutely no basis for this, my spin-of-the-wheel says that Imperial Guard will be this year too. We have August, Septempter, October, November, December. That means 5 months. probably be 2 more Sigmar releases cycles, including one for Christmas. I think there will be 4 factions (for 40k) that get a new codex, though a couple of them might not get new models (or the Necron treatment of 1 character model as an olive branch). One faction will probably get the BA treatment (as couple of new kits), and one faction will get the super-exciting-release-o-ramma treatment, where we get several awesome new models. I'm gonna call it Tau. On top of that, a 40k dual-faction campaign box a-la Stormclaw (Tau and some space marine faction, right?), which no doubt I'll go ape- sh** over an awesome model value, and something Campaign-ish akin to Shield of Baal. December, of course, has 4 weeks, and one will be the Sigmar release. The other 3 are reserved for plastic Sisters, plastic Thunderhawk, and plastic HH releases!

Tau got the 'Queen for a day' treatment LAST time. I'd hope the DE get it this time around, but that's probably wishful thinking.

DE already got a codex last year though :( I think 2016 is the earliest we can expect one. Queen for a Day treatment would be awesome. I would LOVE 2 more named DE heroes (or just make a model or two and bring back the ones they got rid of...), Wyches to have a reason to exist, boxes of Grotesques in 3s, more psyker type stuff... combine Haemonculus Covens book into the main one, and of course superformations. I'd love to see some more durable units available to them. Overall, I think Dark Eldar have the coolest models of the whole game.
