Hello all, I have a friendly game coming up this Sunday against my Tyranid friend.

We have both recently started back up with 40k and since returning have been having great fun re learning the rules with smaller based pts.

I am thinking of going with the Ultramarine chapter tactics, as I feel the doctrines will be of great effect in smaller games.

Here is a 750 pts list I have created and would like any feedback.

A flying Landraider in 750pts? Some call it overkill.

I'd call it awesome. I assume it's you anti-tank option, it's solid. High armour and potent weaponry make it a great choice.

Assault squad kitted for infantry, great.

Sticking a Librarian with jump pack is going with them? I'd say not, you want him either Warlord hunting or staying back using his powers.

Mobile plasma is great for heavy infantry, and the bolters with them will handle anything else.

erm im guessing your referring to the stormtalon as the flying landraider haha?.

And yh, I was un sure if taking a flyer at this pts level would be unbalanced so am always open to taking it out.

Just for the pts it offers great anti tank/infantry, and is a cheaper alternative to other options.

I figured the libby could just fly around with the assault squad but you suggest he stays with a tac squad?

Not a bad little list. A little light on AV, but should be fine. Flyers at this point level are questionable. It’s the point where you may see them from “normal” lists, but don’t expect them all the time. That said, you might be up against a flyrant, so need some AA yourself.

Librarian with the assaults is a solid plan. He’ll give them some extra punch, which they need.

Yh I think the stormtalon is not to bad, it can still be killed relatively easily.
