Is there any cheap snow I can buy or make? I need it in quite a big quantity. I'm gonna use it for my 4x6 board.

I read that the baking soda + glue mix makes the "snow" turn yellow, and I really wouldn't like that to happen.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Woodland scenic snow flock is fairly inexpensive and comes in large shakers.

mix a bit of white paint on your baking soda and it won't turn yellow.I've also tried mixing baking soda with gloss varnish and glue and mine hasn't turned yellow so far even after 1 year.

Hey,

So I have not personally tried this but it's worth looking into. I seen someone use this technique but for grass rather than snow. Anyways it's quite easy, what he did was take a ton of sawdust put in a bowl and mixed with cheap accrylic paint with a little water. Obviously you are going to use white paint rather than green paint but it's the same concept.

Any ways here is the link

Hope this helps good luck and cheers!

Here's the barbarian I did for Shieldwolf. I used baking soda mixed with gloss varnish and white glue for this to produce melty snow. Use matte varnish if you want the snow to look more solid.

Polystyrene roof tiles for large coverage with hard as nails glue or analogue will do for build up or drifts.. Polystyrene bits for temporary snowfall on scenery you don't want permanently changed.
