I know there was a rather large sub community of gamers who liked the other factions in the Warhammer world... and many of you made fan books.
will the same be done for AOS?
I have a bunch of celts and samurai who are begging to be used in AOS (which I have had a lot of fun with, after house ruling)
Let me know if there are any plans
Thanks

I'm starting some sub-warscrolls for a minor Eternal subfaction of priests of Morr that were brought back by Sigmar. I don't intend to play them as a huge force, but just like one lord and a couple varied squads.

Should be pretty easy to do and for a vast variety of ranges / armies if people have the incliniation, time and ability (with manipulating images and rules)

I'm eagerly awaiting what the community puts together for chaos dwarves. Right now we're house ruling that i can sample from dwarves and chaos and consider them on the same "faction", but it's a hamfisted way of doing things.

I guess there is a very slim possibility that Forgeworld might do some battlescrolls for them?

Oh, we will definately make some fan armies after we're done setting points costs to the current armies.
Then it's time for the Warmachine armies to be converted into AoS I want to use my Cygnar and Khador!

I'm sure someone, somewhere, will. There is, after all, relatively little effort that goes into creating an army for AoS, not having to worry about balancing it etc.

Shouldn't be hard with the stat blocks
So off hand Samurai would be something like:
Foot
Move 5", Wounds 1, Bravery 7, Armour 5+, Katana 1", 2 Attacks, to-hit 3+, to-Wound 4+, Damage 1
The leader of this unit is a Hatamoto: A Hatamoto makes 3 attacks with his Katana rather than 2.
Back Banners: Models in this unit may have Back Banners. If you roll a 1 when taking a battleshock test for a unit that includes any Back Banners none of its models flee.
Deadily Strike: If the hit roll for a Katana is 6 or more, its Katana inflicts 1 mortal wound on the target instead of its normal Damage – no roll to wound is necessary
Archers
Move 5", Wounds 1, Bravery 7, Armour 5+, Katana 1", 1 Attack, to-hit 3+, to-Wound 4+, Damage 1, Longbow 18", 1 Attack, to-hit 3+, to-Wound 4+,
The leader of this unit is a Hatamoto: A Hatamoto makes 2 attacks with his Katana rather than1.
Back Banners: Models in this unit may have Back Banners. If you roll a 1 when taking a battleshock test for a unit that includes any Back Banners none of its models flee.
Careful Aim: A unit of Samurai Archers can attack twice in their shooting phase if they did not move in their movement phase
Add Cavalry, Lords, Handgunenrs, Ashigari etc then decide which mystical elements you want

I Really, really hope so. I bought a fair bit of CD's from forgeworld... i halted purchasing on rumors of AoS for just this reason: that my skullcracker wouldn't have any rules of any kind.

Using other models and write some AoS rules for them? Of course we will see them.
It's even easier now you don't have to care about points value. Just write the profiles, add a few special rules and here it is, use your models on the table (with your opponent's agreement, of course).
Could be using a few Warmachine models just for fun. After all, bases aren't important now.

I'm sure Forgeworld will do Warscrolls for Chaos Dwarves and their Monstrous Arcana stuff.
The main one that still existed for a long time but lapsed was Dogs of War - who are reasonably easy to do with existing warscrolls. The only thing you really need are generic pikemen, the paymaster and a few regiments of reknown....

I am already working on creating rule for my mageknight draconum. Also, balance for the units are based on two factors first is model size. The bigger the mini, the easier it is to see and therefore shoot, the tougher it should be. The second is monetary price. If two units are the same size, but one kit is more expensive, that kit will have better rules. Otherwise, why would you ever buy it.

Because it's cool?
GW believes its customers are the collector type who don't really care about rules. You shouldn't mind too much the way they write their rules because of that.
Sure, obvious things are obvious. If you have a dragon model, it would make sense to use the keyword "monster" for it and not "chariot". Unless it's a chariot pulled by a dragon, that could have both.
Beside, when you see what they wrote in the warscrolls, many things are in fact similar and just change because of their equipment/special rules.
AoS is gold for house rules and fan made units. Strangely enough, it's also very nice to play with other models, since everything is about the model - base size isn't important. So, let's have a lot of fun with our Cygnar army invading the Warhammer Realms, like in the wildest fanfictions/dreams.

I find them both inspiring, and somewhat incomplete.
I probably miss something like:
" KIAI! When you make hit rolls roll the Hatamoto, shout KIAI!, and make a japanese impression of insulting your opponent. If the opponent reacts to your faux japanese, the Hatamoto gains a +1 to his hit rolls."
You know, just because we can, in AoS anyways.
I jest, of course, about the incompleteness. Unless you don't want me to, because the Kiai! special rule I just made up is in line with some of the other 'acting out' rules in the game. We could have fun with this, if it is our sort of thing. On a more serious note, I did mean the remark about inspiring. I noticed the usual back banners were there. The extra attack for being the samurai as opposed to a simple ashigaru.

I've already started working on Tyranid scrolls. I had started working on an army book before the End Times were released for gits and shiggles.
I think I have the base stats for all but the Heroes done, but from there it is weapons, magic, and Abilities to work out.
I'm afraid I have to make them a little scary since the units will be lacking musicians and banners. I'm thinking of using Synapse to cover some of this, though.
