So I'm looking to get started with a fluffy lothern list. I just love the uniform, naval warrior aesthetic and background. My question is what units would make sense in a lothern list? Since the walls of enmity are down, I've also thought about putting DE pirates and such in there as well.

Come and check out my painting and hobby blog at...

Gathering the Informations.

Lothern Sea Guard

Great Eagles Generally, I'd advise people to get the plastic two pack from "The Hobbit" range at $50 for two versus the fugly Finecast version.

Shadow Warriors. It's been mentioned in the background since the "Storm of Chaos" book that Lothern had their own scouts and infiltrators they called the "Sea Rangers" who went ashore prior to the main attack and basically lit signal fires so the ships offshore could unload volleys of arrows before they ever sighted the land through the mists they would summon up.

Lothern Skycutters.

Eagle Claw Bolt Throwers.

Mages. Again, this is something mentioned in "Storm of Chaos". They have their own Mages that were called "Stormweavers" or "Mist Mages" that specialized in manipulating the heavens...and some of the nastier sea life(Merwyrms).

A guy on a Dragon makes sense as well, since as we saw in "Dreadfleet" some of the High Elf ships are actually designed with roosts for their draconian allies.
