Subject: A "counts as" project for AoS and I need YOUR input!

Obviously AoS is causing a stir in the gaming community. I personally stopped playing 40k years ago, and WHFB shortly thereafter. My dislike for WHFB was not because of the game or the rules, but because of a local player (TFG) who ruined the experience for me. Now I have a chance to remove him from our local meta and of course I would like to get into some AoS action with my beloved Orks.
So I want to make a Mek's Dred Army. Killa kans, Dreds, Mega Dreds, etc. Lots of 40 and 50mm bases (not that bases matter now). I am looking input regarding the best ruleset (er, warscroll) to use for this proposed army. My initial inclination was Ogre Kingdoms, where Laadbelchers can be the kans, I could make a sweet Tyrant dred and i could run larger "gargants" as giants and such.
Your thoughts?

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness. ADB |

you know that you are not restricted to one army anymore? you can mix and match anything now, its all go... so read through all of them and pick the warscrolls you like...
Tomb King Scorpions
River Trolls
Ogors (a few selections)
Daemon Greater Princes
Giants
literally pick any warscroll you want, if you want a hero i suggest you get them and a unit from his faction (so they got a bonus) and the rest just fill up with what you like
I got myself a hellpit abomination and river trolls, will be getting a tomb scorpion as well and then will wait for new armies to come out, their rules are most likely better and more fit of the game and models will look tastier

is what true? that you can take any warscroll and combine with any warscroll from any faction... sure... but you do not get the added bonuses from champions or special "lists" (at the end of the new rules for each army there is a list/formation that gives more bonuses to your force if they all are from the same faction/race)
its actually a lot better now as you can make themed armies.. far easier, heck you can make the RAF (All pegasus knights army, RAF ) with eagle riders and you got yourself and all flying force..
which gives me an idea

I'd say giants for Deff Dreads - they're erratic, silly and stompy just like them. And even if you were limited to Forces of Destruction (one of four alliances in the game that contains orcs, goblins, ogres, trolls) you still get to use them along with others.
That, or go for beastmen, use Dreads as Ghorgons and use the kanz as minotaurs.
That way you even can field the battalion formation from warscroll:
Doombull + minotaurs + ghorgon.

Consider labeling the bases since without a set army book / codex it may be hard for your opponent to know what's representing what otherwise.
I'm a counts-as fiend but I feel like AoS doesn't lend itself to it as well as other games like 40k. The same is true for warmahordes, though, and for that game I just label my bases and haven't had any issues.
Edit: I like that you're sticking with ogres! But labels would still help, and the names are actually very fitting for the models you've chosen, so they'll look good

I would run them as Ogres.
Killa Kans could be Leadbelcers
Deff Dredds could be used as giants
Big Meks are your Butchers
Meganobs could be Maneaters
