I will admit this almost feels like an 'old grumpy man' request, but, basically I love photo batreps, while most vid batreps leave me cold. Sometimes, because of this desire, I can burn quite a bit of time in the batrep section simply searching for a photo batrep and clicking multiple good looking batrep titles only to discover they are, in fact, videos.

Now, I don't think that the video batreps need to be annotated as such (to be honest, the simpler rule would be to demand that Pic batreps are annotated - as they do appear to be in the minority nowadays if my search for them holds true for others)

Put, yeah, a subforum or maybe some obligatory title note on Pic based, or Vid based, or both (like eBay listings in Swap Shop) or really just *any* easier way so that when I go to look at batreps I can tell at a glance whether it's a vid or not before having to open the page? I would find that to increase my enjoyment on site a fair bit and suspect there are a number of like-minded old style batrep enthusiasts like myself out there who would also appreciate this.

Thank you for the consideration in advance,
Thor.

Yes. I'm not that old but I hate clicking a link and finding a vid bat rep. Now I PERSONALLY hate vid bat reps and think they are not what I want...don't hate me for not wanting to listen to or hear your......report.

I want to be able to get a traditional bat rep for games like 40k, saga, kings of war ect without wading through awful vid drivel.

Please, please support the above..a different group would be awesome or at least even more clearer bat rep descriptions because most vid reps I've seen don't distinguish.

Hahaha such a old man me! And im only 30!!

Splitting off into a separate sub-forum would be a little excessive and dilute the section too much, I think.

I could definitely get behind compulsory tagging for video links, though. I'll take it up with the Council of Dakkaness, and see what we can do.

Yeah a template as per swap shop would be great.
Especially while on the phone.

Something like...

Title
Points per side
Pics, Vid, Text multiselect
Fully painted models y/n
Fully painted terrain y/n
Turn 1-6/completed.

Oli: Can I be an orc?
Everyone: No.

Yeah, realistically it needs to be a template like the swap shop, rather than something that is left up to posters to do off their own bat. After some discussion on the mod board, Lego has added this to his 'to do' list.
