Not exactly news about them, but more of a question. Our store was contacted by GW and they were asking about how popular Sisters of battle were at our location. The call wasn't while placing an order or anything, GW calling our store and gauging interest about the army. I was wondering if anyone else's stores got similar calls that they know about.

I'm assuming this is a GW store, not a FLGS?

They come out with new Sisters of Battle support, half the players will be praising the Emperor in the streets. Only thing that could put a stain on it would be if it was secretly Matt's last codex job.

"There is a cancer eating at the Imperium. With each decade it advances deeper, leaving drained, dead worlds in its wake. This horror, this abomination, has thought and purpose that functions on an unimaginable, galactic scale and all we can do is try to stop the swarms of bioengineered monsters it unleashes upon us by instinct. We have given the horror a name to salve our fears; we call it the Tyranid race, but if is aware of us at all it must know us only as Prey."

I don't play sisters but I'd still buy 500 points to ally with my other armies.

I think there's a lot of people like me who don't currently collect sisters, but would if they updated their models.

Long Jetty, The place is a dump

I call rubbish on this, GW don't do that kind of market research.

Besides if a Sisters army were to be done now then that means that the Board of Execs have commissioned a new army which will be 18 months to 24 months away.

Bullcrap on your roses.

Maybe not in Oz, where GW apparently has taken a more draconian approach to customer service, but I'm at the same FLGS as Conker, and their CS rep is pretty on point. They're always trying to ask about this or that promotion, or trying to figure out who's playing what.

I'd definitely play Sisters of Battle if the models were reasonable.

I'd expand on my sisters if they had new models. Have enough of the old ones not to want more and overall the lack of options leaves it a bit bland.

I'm one of those people you mention, that are like you. The lack of codex updates is what drags me away from playing them even though I did the TGG2 kickstarter which I plan to fill with all SoB style units. I'd happily buy and try the sisters if they get a new codex and (plastic) models. In fact, my custom SM chapter, they were forged in battle by coming to the aid of a SoB order and later took claim over the world they saved, sharing it with the Sisters. So if anything, they would be getting used as an ally to my SMs.

I would probably buy at least 500 points of Sororitas models if they were updated to multipart plastic kits to ally with my Astartes.

honestly this is something new to hear (good too). but i have been waiting for a new (real) codex for 5 years. usually pictures or mass rumors are released right before a release. i doubt much will come from this soon.

But if something does come from this in the next 3 months i make two promises.

first i will use my 750 dollar Plastic sisters/ bribery fund to get an army.

Second promise is that I WILL BLOW UP THE MOON

I was excited that it was something new about sisters. Not starting a rumor, just what was asked, and asking if other people knew of this happening at their stores. I was happy that GW even remembered they still have sisters of battle

There has been rumors of a completed plastic Sisters line for years now. If those rumors are true, and the masters & molds are just sitting on a shelf, GW could have them begin production, like, tomorrow.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

On one hand consistent rumors usually collectively hold water. but on the other hand rumors since Y2K that haven't yielded anything are hardly reliable

I'm interested. There my third favorite after IG and Admech. Inquisition would be above them, but I consider them less of their own army but instead as something you can attach to any Imperium army.

I would love to see everyone's favorite Nuns with Guns to get a plastic release and updated codex. Given enough time im tempted to start a small sister force out of 3rd party parts if GW doesn't release plastic sisters by the time im done painting my completely unpainted GK + Inq army (still have more Orks and Tau in the queue ahead of the GK).

Indeed.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

I would sell every army I have to fund a sisters army again. A shame I had to sell them for bills.

I have to ask what 3rd party suppliers. I've been wanting to start a sisters army but the metal minis and lack of minis variation stopped me.
