Hey guys, so bit of a confusion with the cost of kill kans for the fw dreadmob list. The fw book has them at 40pts, the new ork codex has them at 50pts and the fw update says 35pts but no idea if that's a typo. It's confusing because the fw update mentions the page listing from the ork codex, says it sorta differs because you're maxed at 5 per unit instead of 6. I'm also not 100% sure the 35pts isnt a typo because right above it i lists deffkoptas at 35pts and it could have just been a goof on fw's part.

Army builder has them at 35pts
battlescribe at 50pts

The FW book predates the ork codex when their prices changed. When running the FW dreadmob list you use the points specified in that list, regardless of what has changed in the new codex. Until it gets reupdated ofcourse.

so I believe it went from 40 to 50 in the new ork dex, but 40 to 35 in the ork dread list.


The confusion stems from the update sorta half using the new ork listing and half using the fw updated list



It seems army builder and battlescribe both have mistakes, army builder gets the kan price right but screwed up some options on burna boyz. Batttlescribe for the first time in a while has more mistakes than army builder, they both screw up burnas but battle scribe has kans at 50pts and not 35pts.

As i said that update predates the existing Ork codex, if running a list from that update use the points listed within, hence why it references "Da Big Mel" rule which no longer exists.

It is no longer upto date and thus when using it you will find numerous differences between it and the existing ork codex. If running a Dread Mob list use the points listed in that update.

Roger, thanks, I guess I thought the update was more recent. I love fw but this is why I hesitate to allow fw lists for tournaments. Lotta work to validate things at times. Thanks again dude

Yeah sadly that was last updated at the beginning of 6th I believe, its still kinda works but points costs and special rules are a bit wonky and in desperate need of an update.

Damn, I'll have to pay extra close attention when I play my dread mob list. I'm genuinely shocked that the update is that old, I thought it had come out after the latest dex.

I have an army of just kans and dredds, haven't used it since the new codex came out, went from being funny to just a joke. Was a fun 3 weeks though :(
