If you want to limit yourself to CSM only, the Purge formation from one of the Forgeworld books can be quite strong, since it replaces compulsory troops with elites and allows four heavy support choices.
Some day I'd like to make a very capable shooty Iron Warriors army with double Sicaran, Deimos Vindicator, and obliterators as a base. And then ally in Renegades for even more artillery!

- At 50pts for 10 models, your cultists are very decent OS units. Just reserve them or find them a suitable cover. Sit and win.
- Khorne lord on juggernaut, 4++, axe of blind fury and GoM. This guy is insane in close combat and has a ridiculously low cost in points for what he does. A very worthy contender for the best lord setup title.
- Lvl 3 sorcerers on bikes with spell familiars are very, very good support units.
- Units of 5 spawn are a must imho with either no mark (for jugger lord) or nurgle (otherwise).
- Maulerfiends are still amazing. At 125 points, they are a steal for their mobility and devastating close combat attacks. 5++ from daemon usr plus the daemonforge just add the cherry on top.
- Though expensive, plague marines are incredibly durable and pack a kit that can take on almost anything. T5, 3+ and FNP is awesome! If you make them OS with a nurgle lord, their rhinos are OS too. With the rise of OS/ MSU lists, these may become more important for us, at least until the new dex comes out later this year.
- 10x slaaneshi bikers with IoE. Throw a lord and a sorcerer in there and you get a deathstar that won't shy away from taking on others (and probably for less).

To add:
Daemon Princes with wings and either Black Mace or AoBF (there is another Daemon weapon in BL supplement too), are very good for their points. Some people say they are too fragile, they are fragile when exposed to heavy firepower, the word 'too' I disagree with. Use them like everything else that is considered fragile - with multiple threat saturation.
Dreadclaws are one of the few major advantages CSM have over marines. Use one!
Sicarans, because, well, Sicarans.
Chaos now also have access to the Knight. These are excellent. And I imagine will work well alongside DPs.
Ally in renegades... you will not be sorry.

I guessing you're referring to spineshiver. That would be pretty meh for a DP though. It only really gives them +1 I, which isn't exactly a big deal on a daemon prince. The other two are way better. Ofc If you want to get eternal warrior or one of the other Black Legion relics it is still better than what they get in the crimson slaughter dex.

+1 and +d6 attacks. So an average of 4.5attacks extra on a DP isn't bad. But yes - the other two are far better.

Necrosius with Plague zombies is pretty strong. 4+ FNP, 3 points each, up to 50 per unit. Great way to flood the board with OS units without paying the cultist tax nor having to take typhus.
It is his warlord trait that makes it so they can be taken so keep that in mind.
