Hey all! I was looking into Scibor Miniatures and really like the look of their models, specifically thier Legionaries line. I am a huge fan of Roman military tactics, and that time frame in general, that I was thinking about purchasing some of these models to make a small army. I was just wondering if anyone has experience with this companies models. They look really good on the website but they are quite expensive.

Also would you, in a friendly game, play against these models if I were to use the Ultramarine rules for them?

As long as I know what model represents which unit, I would play against you without an issue. They are lovely models.

Thank you Peredyne! Yeah, I would do my best to make them as close as possible to what they are supposed to represent. I was hoping someone has bought Scibor miniatures before just so I feel a little more confident in shelling out the cash for them.

I have some of the infantry and bases, and they are all excellent, so yeah, go for it!

So my experience with Scibor - Great miniatures, but big...like 32mm...I found that the conversion parts didnt fit standard 28mm heroic very well. I dont know if they did this intentionally, or if they couldnt produce the detail at a smaller scale. However since you are talking about Custodes...I think with the release of the new Sigmarites (rant hate death of WHFB Age of Suckmor ) presents a very good conversion opportunity for custodes. Slap some plummed helmets on those guys, ditch the hammers for the Scibor "bolter glaive" and paint on...

I am holding off right now on buying those models as I just ordered some Elysian Drop Troops from FW. Once I get about 2k points of those painted up I will probably purchase those scissor legionnaires and do some conversions.
