Here are a few cultists that I painted up for a client. They go with a force that's painted in a variant of the old style Emperor's Children (from the Rogue Trader era). Back then, they had leopard spots and wore a mix of purple and black.

Anyway, here are some cultists. I think the part I had the most fun with on this project was making the psyker's eyes glow.

Looks great, I like the old look.
Where is the female psyker model from?

The psyker is great. Love those eyes.

Great job.

I'm sure my client told me at some point, but I don't remember who makes her.

The paintjob itself is good but it looks like something out of Maliufax instead of WH40k. I would have preferd less glitter and more grime

Huh. Maybe it is because I started painting in the early '90s, but I've always thought that GW minis natural state is to be covered in primary colors (the orange looked particularly out of place on the old High Elves).

Whereas, I see Malifaux as eternally lit by moonlight- all dark and moody.

That might just be me, though. And I definitely employ quite a few different amounts of grit and damage as I paint different projects.

Now, to be fair, my client did have me base the general color scheme for these guys off of a very old Emperor's Children scheme (one of the few from that era that lacked orange).

I don't recall off hand, but I may have the range jotted down in my notes at home. The model was cast by Reaper but was for an LE range of sci-fi/post apocalyptic figures. I'll update this post if I can determine the figure name/ model range.

The lasgun strung over her shoulder is a Victoria Miniatures metal lasgun and not part of the original figure.

I love the 80's punk/comix vibe these guys give off! Very well done retro paint scheme.

Love the glow on the eyes. Came out great

There is not this idea.

I personally prefer the bright and garish colors to the grim and dark. And these ones are exceptional.

I'm trying to figure out how the top middle cultist sees, though. Are there any eyeholes in that thing?
