After about a year hiatus I'm ready to come back swinging!

But I need opinions on the topic.

I like several ideas, looking for advice from experience.

I was thinking running double str D thirsters, but I also like the idea of a hound star, with two dk and one crimson slaughter as hqs. And then there's also kharn. Alot of options!

Any help would be great. Oh and we play 1850- 2k points. Thanks!

If you're looking to ally, I'd say a basic CSM Juggerlord would be one of the best things you could throw in there. They'd have AoBF, and therefore eat squads faster, whilst your Kin Lord, with the Goredrinker, fights challenges and whatnot and therefore building up Goredrinker and getting more Tithe points.

Belakor is also excellent too.

Crimson Slaughter gives the excellent Daemonheart, but the Lords aren't as killy.

Lord on Jugger with PF & LC and Blood-Forged Armor. Expensive but killy and resilent.

My HQ is a lord on Juggernaut with Goredrinker, axe of Khorne, and sigil of corruption. Comes in Just over 200 points and after causing 5 wounds is initiative 5, strength 10, ap 2. Pretty brutal.

I would probably want a couple lords. The first would have to be minimally equipped with korlash the axe of ruin. This way he can be traded up for a thirster off #7 giving you a DP equipped with the axe AND a thirster. Rinse repeat.

The second would likely be what Darkseid proposed, add sigil and what not and join to a large hounds unit.

So running 3 lords/heralds would be better than two thirsters?

If so I would want to run a Jugger lord and herald from DK and a lord from the Crimson slaughter.

I want the herald for the loci. Would it be better to run 3 lords instead?

I take a mounted herald for the second hq for adamantium will - stacks well with collar of khorne.

Dozer, I also like that idea, is the loci worth the points? I always took it with my demons army, just want your input.

So looking at this for hqs:

DK
Lord, jugg, axe, goredrinker, sigil
Herald, blood armor, jugg, axe, loci

Crimson slaughter
Lord, jugg, pf, lc, demonheart, sigil.

How's that? Ofc witha big squad of hounds.
