Tyranid CAD
HQ
Hive Tyrant - Wings, 2 sets of TL devourers, electroshock grubs (240)
Hive Tyrant - Wings, 2 sets of TL devourers, electroshock grubs (240)
Elites
Malanthrope (85)
Troops
Termagaunts x 30 - 20 fleshborer, 10 devourer
Tervigon - Stinger Salvo and talons (195)
Fast Attack
Gargoyles x 17 (102)
Hive Crone (155)
Heavy Support
Mawloc (140)
Mawloc (140)
Living Artillery Node
Exocrine (170)
Biovores x3 (120)
Warriors x3 - 1x barbed strangler (100)
This is my first tyranid list that I am strongly considering building. I like the look of hive crones and flyrants ofc, and mawlocs could be good as a backfield distraction plus they're pretty cheap on points. The only thing I had trouble making in this list is the troops as none of them really appealed to me too much. I know some people just use the rippers or w/e but I'm also a fan of having a good looking army and having no little gribblies just makes a tyranid army look silly to me, there has to be atleast some aspect of a swarm, even if its just 30 termies and some gargoyles. Anyways there's my list, I'd like to hear what you guys have to say.

Looks pretty solid. Mostly minor quibbles...one all ways put a thorax hive on anybody who can take it (Tervigon) second is even more minor, when I run a Tervigon as troops I like to use hive commander to Outflank it.
Good luck! And welcome to the Hive Mind!

Thanks I don't see the option for a thorax hive on the tervigon (using battlescribe). I only see stinger salvo and cluster spines.

look under Thorax Biomorphs. Same thing as electroshock grubs. I love them. Gives Nids a way to try to handle amour. Most big bugs can take them like the Hive Tyrants
I'm personally not sold on Mawlocs in this edition. For me they seem to have a hard time finding viable targets to kill without the mishap. But that could also just be my meta which is transort heavy.

Oh I see, yeah the electroshock grubs look brutal, but I don't really have room for them unless I drop some more gargoyles. And I can definitely see what you mean about the mawlocs but I guess I'll have to play some games to figure out. No doubt I would be switching some things up once I build my army and play some games.

If you don't DS onto a vehicle, you coult take any infantry, 2 Large Blast S6 AP2, and even, if you mishap, you have a 50% chance it ends up in ongoing reserves, wich means another 2 Large Blast S6 AP2 the very next turn, but again, that's just luck, you could end with it destroyed with a 1.
Egrubs, is for taking away vehicles (the ones you can't take with mawloc), these 2 are more like complements.
I'm particulary not so very into Gargoyles, I would go with the minimum 10. Maybe go with a lictor to make sure your Mawloc doesn't scatter.

Yeah, it is simply the best 10 points you can spend. Trim devoured x out of the Termigants, lose gargoyles...lots of ways to find 10 points.
