Okay so I'll be glad when were done with this Escalation tourny at my LFGS. I dislike how lists look for necrons when I can bring all my formations lol.
So looking for some advice from my fellow Dakkacronz.
My current list is
Rec. Legion
Overlord(Barebones)
2x10 Warriors
5 Immortals
6 Tomb Blades w/shields and scopes. Particle beamers(2 ork and 2 nid players.)
D. Cult
D. Lord w/voidreaper
3 Heavies
2 units of 1 heavy and 2 normal
1 unit of 3 normal destroyers
On top of hordes I play a lot of power armor so D. Cult is awesome. Ive also faced a Knight in 750 and 1000 games. I won because of objectives on botb accounts but still scary.
My question is should I run this? Other options would be a beefed up rec legion with a harvest or taking a CAD with the D. Cult to get a ghost ark or a nightscythe in. Flyers aren't a big part of the meta here but tanks are every where.
Pretty much everyone is running cheese lists. Our resident knight player was talking about bringing 3 this time. So I'm not worried abut being too cheesy.
My question was more if the d. Cult is efficient point wise at this level? Or should I rework my list?
I wanted to run my Judicator Battalion but my praets didn't finish stripping in time for paint.
I mean what would you run instead? A bigger reclamation legion true but you still have to have an auxiliary. If you're going for bigger reclamation you might want flayed ones and possibly some lychguard.
If you are running into lots of power armor then destroyers are the way to go. That preffered enemy is just great, and with all the new space marines stuff that is coming out now I expect to see lots of them.
A Destroyer Cult is a very effecient use of points, especially if you know you're going to be fighting IKs since there isn't much else in the codex that is as effective at taking on IKs than a Destroyer Cult. I'd give that 3rd unit of 3 Destroyers a Heavy Destroyer for this reason.
