So, long story short, I want to write some fluff for my Space Puppies. I want to have a kind off successor chapter feel, but that won't work. Does anyone know a way for, say, a hundred Space Wolves plus vehicles and weapons to become their own 'chapter'? I've got some suggestions, please read them through and tell me if they could happen.

1) A Lone Wolf/Respected warrior is given permission to form his own force to go on his own hunt for Leman Russ.
2) A member of the Wolf Guard from one of the Great Companies convinces a few brothers to go on either a hunt or a private crusade.

That's pretty much all I have. Any useful information would be great!

Also, what if the start of a new Great Company got lost during a great hunt, resulting in them starting their own thing?

AFAIK the Wolf geneseed isn't capable to work on anyone not from Fenris, so they'd be dying out pretty quickly, and I doubt the Space Wolves would be cool with them only coming to Fenris for recruits, they'd probably want them to reunite with the chapter.

Also, I would think that once a Great Hunt is underway, everyone would want to take part in it, but a force could branch out on its own to do its own thing while the Hunt is going on.

The Space Wolf genesed, and the Helix Canix in particualr only work on those born and breed on Fenris. And no, no other chapter or sucsessors would be allowed to recruit on Fenris. There is not enough recruits avalibal for that as the world is such an harsh place.
