Hey Dakkaites, was varnishing a huge backlog of models earlier today so I figured I may as well take some pics of my Hive Fleet... Bit dodgy quality in parts, I lack decent lighting - apologies!

Army overview:

Some closer ups...

And some of my more interesting models:
Deathleaper

Tervigon

And with magnetised arms...

Venomthropes

Comms, relic, objective and trygon hole markers

Lead flyrant

Biovore conversions

Automatically Appended Next Post:
And some works in progress...

A ymgarl Broodlord - his brood is steadily growing and is looking excellent too!

Quad-gun

Magnetisable Prime - he has about 14 removeable parts as of now, it's a little ridiculous...

However these guys might have to wait a while, as I have 80 gaunts and 10 more gargoyles to paint... as well as a Harpy, 10 more gargs, and a bunker to Niddify up on the way :|

I dig the throwback Tyrant head. Is that done with a spare Zoanthrope skull plate?

That is an awesome looking collection of Tyranids.

The carapace in contrast with the yellow skin looks great.

Nice work

PS: Don't envy you with 80 gaunts to paint!

Nice double bladed bonesword on that flyrant. Is it meant to be a Reaper of Obliterax conversion?

Thanks guys! I might do some more close ups at some point as the army-wide shots have not come out too well.

Yeah, I made 1x Neuro and 2x Venoms with the zoan kit, so i had 3 spare crests and decided my third flyrant could do with looking a little more unique. The other two crests are currently involved in my attempt at a Nid void shield generator which is kinda meh - might post some pics if I can improve it. The double-ended bonesword is a reaper technically, but will serve as a normal bonesword too! Like much of the things I've done (the colour scheme, the biovore conversions, the quad-gun) it's inspired by users either here or elsewhere on the net.

Really nice stuff here. I particularly like the biovore conversions.

Something I've been wanting to do for a while is do my own Niddified terrain - I have an Aegis and Comms (and unfinished Quadgun) so far, but if you wanna pull Venomthrope shenanigans then a Bastion or Bunker is necessary. I was initially going to go for the Bastion, but the Bunker's cheapness fitted into my lists a lot better...

Needs some greenstuffing to fill gaps, and I plan to add some Nid goop in places too, to create a "red weed" [yellow weed] type effect creeping up the walls.
