Finally finished doing the Stormcast Eternals from the starter set this weekend. I will be the first to say I am not the world's best painter (in fact, I am downright lazy when it comes to painting!), but I don't think the results are too bad...

If you are interested in seeing the rest, plus a little info on how they were done, I have a page for you;

Nice! I really like them!

I haven't started mine yet. I'm determined finish my fleet of drop pods first Though, I have cleaned up a prosecutor -- the models are so beautiful.

If I may make a suggestion, I think your bases would look better with a couple of rocks, and fewer tufts. Also, I'm not sure what the treatment is on them for you, but they don't look drybrushed; if you drybrushed those with a light grey (dawnstone, or dawnstone then gently pallid wych), they would get a lot more contrast.

I think they look absolutely brilliant and will be using this scheme also. I haven't picked up the latest white dwarf but will do tomorrow. Apart from the gun metal scheme did you follow it exactly?

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I would add I agree with the poster above about the tufts of grass though.

They stand out too much and take the eye away from the.models imho

There is not this idea.

Eh, I like the tufts of grass, personally. They give the base some nice contrast, and I don't think they distract from the model itself.

Looking good to me (had a look on your blog). Am tempted to do the same now and keep the full gold armour for Primes and HQs!

Nice.
Painting the Stormcasts in gold is what I absolutely dislike.

Great job. I am getting a bit sick and tired of all the gold everywhere. Nice to see something different. I really like what you did there.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

I love the look of your army.

I have decided that I wont add gold what so ever in my army, I am using leadbelcher instead and it looks cool.

Looking sharp. I am still trying to decide on a paint scheme for my force.

These are very nice. The Gunmetal/midnight blue is excellent - makes the gold ones look a bit derivative.

I also guess it lets you base coat in black which I prefer.

Please imagine I wrote something funny here.....Something bloody hillarious....

With the new GW paints, you can basecoat just about any model black, and the paint goes straight on. Really quite impressive.
