40k/30k question.

Would anyone have a problem with me using the Volkite Culvarin (FW HH line) for a Gravaton Gun with Amp (GW 40k line)? I am swimming in heavy weapons, and I don't need a full devastator kit, but I would like to add some Graviton Cannons to play with. Also, I like the Volkite better.

As with any opponent, let them know what it is and if it's OK.

Communication is key. Communication is life.

FTR, I wouldn't have a problem with it. I actually think it looks cooler

That Volkite looks awesome, and I think the real kicker is they are both underslung off the forearm. Not a huge difference between the two and I can't see a problem as long as you made it perfectly clear what the weapon is representing.

I would... just to be contrary. I'd ask "Are we playing 30K here? I'll go get my Sons of Horus..."

It looks closer to a plasmacannon then a Gravcannon due to all the cooling fins on the weapon. Both look pretty bad- .

If all your Gravcannons used the Volkite Culvarin, nah, I wouldn't have an issue with it. If you only had 1-2, and then 3-4 Gravcannons, I'd raise an eye bow.

It would definitely be "all volkites culverns are graviton cannons." Not mix and match.

Also, I'll get my imperial fists HH army and let's do this!

Bonus points if you use Volkite Calivers as your standard Grav-Guns.

I don't see a problem with them, especially since the real ones are incredibly hard to get in any real number.

Blood for the bloo... wait no, I meant for Sanguinius!

For sure, it can be a nightmare trying to kit out a Devastator/Havok squad with the same weapons. Unless you have a source for bits or a load of extra kits, enjoy your mismatched heavies.

I used the Forge World Auto Cannons for my Chaos Space Marine Havocks. I am replacing their heads with more Chaosy horned helmets, though.

Awesome! I did the same with my Havoks, those underslung Autocannons with the backpacks look wicked.

Are those 30K oriented? Or really old vets of 40K?

No issues till you play me and I actually have and field the real thing lol. But as long as you keep it consistent and let your opponent know, shouldn't be issues ever

Not a problem with me. But then, I use Volkite weapons as plasma weapons in my Red Scorpions.

I use Volkite Calivers as boltguns in my SM army. I'm considering converting them slightly to more closely resemble bolters, but I'm undecided on the matter.
