hello dakka,

i have been searching the web pages for quite some time...

i am in need for sitting legs ...imperial /cadian etc legs...GW isn´t helping here...(the bitz are not so easily to come by...) i know that there are some manufacturers like Victoria miniatures and so on out there that produce in small amunts already sitting legs...

what i want to build is a scene like the titan crew...sitting operators at their desks/ computers...

and if someone actually did a similar conversion with standard cadian legs...then it would be very helpful for me to get a nudge in the right direction...

thanks dakka

cheers, vik

How about sentinel pilots? One piece Imperial sitting guys in jumpsuits? Probably have to get them from eBay/Bits sites...

i´ve searched ebay...even worldwide...and the cost/ effect balance is quite hard to justify... if i had say five of the sets...that be great... and i would use them in an instant... alas...^^

also the taurox driver or there is another driver bit of GW... but i can´t get them currently... there seems to be a run...or...i haven´t found a good bits seller yet... i used to by at bits and kits UK but last time i ordered from them they didn´t respond to any complaints i had...

Either the sentinel pilot or the taurox gunner would do.

Side question...the eisenkern stormtrooper have kneeling legs, which are kind of wide spread...I will try to make a seated variant with them...you think this will work?

Ask your local Guard player. I don't even think they would need their Sentinel pilots if they're going for the armoured version.

How about the Land Speeder Storm pilot?

Edit: found the sentinel pilot from a german bitz store.

Victoria Lamb does sitting legs..?
The downside to the sentinel legs is that they are hollow from behind.

At lordcorelia...too bad, I don't play...never had the chance... Fir me it is mostly the building aspect of the hobby, so no fellow guard players in my vicinity...

At hanskrampf...I buy from this seller quiet a lot already, and iI have that item already for years in my favorite list...funny, well I think I haven't already bought these as I hoped for cheaper auctions....but I think I need to bite the bullet...

At buttery commissar...well it wouldn't be a downside as I have a plan where that issue wouldn't be an...issue
And Vic does sitting conscripts legs...a bit too leisure looking for a crew to steer a leviathan...wouldn't you say so too...

Get some green stuff. Make a triangular cut in the back of each knee and remove the pyramid of plastic. Bend into shape and fill the gap.

If the legs are plastic then you can place them in boiling water and bend them. (resin will break)

i´ve read about that "pyramide" surgery... but what would you suggest for the hip and bum section of the leg bitz then?...

I've got the Victoria Lamb legs after reading this topic (I want to make a small diorama). They're actually pretty formal, would you like some high res pics? I thought they would be pretty relaxed/slouchy but they're sat to attention.

They're too neat for conscripts. They're somewhere between mordian, praetorian and DKoK.
Spoiler:

Excuse my tweezers, my fingers are all chewed up and I figured this was less horrifying.
