I am thinking of taking a warlock conclave but I have never used one

this is the list HQ

Farseer with Singing Spear, a Jetbike, and the Spirit Stone of Anath’lan
Warlock Conclave with five Warlocks on Jetbikes

if I take this how do I use it, I know it's an open ended question but what psychic disciplines do I focus on? Do I hide them or use them as be in the opponents face? I am just interested in peoples experince of HQ's like this

I have the models I am just curious as to "how"

Unless you particularly want those exact numbers

Take an Autarch (Or if you want another seer then take a farseer for your CAD and take the Seer Council Formation.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

Don't forget that the Farseer can split off from the unit if needed.
If you're worried about Overwatch, the Autarch with a Banshee mask can help.

Look at the Brotherhood of Psykers rule they have, and make sure that is the number of Warlocks you want. I think you'll be fine, but check anyway.

I've not run them myself, so cannot help further.

6000 pts - Harlies: 1000 pts - 4000 pts - 1000 pts - 1000 pts DS:70+S+G++MB+IPw40k86/f+D++A++/cWD64R+T(T)DM+

You'll want baharroth for fearless/hit and run, and if not, probably take the shard of anaris for fearless.

I love Baha but for this the shard is enough.

Warlock Councils aren't bad, but they don't provide a great deal of damage on their own account. Sure, they have access to Singing Spears, but compared to what a Farseer can do with Psychic Shriek or Eldritch Storm they come up a bit short to me. Frankly, they mix in well for ablative wounds and Warp Charges for the Farseers in my experience.

They have fantastic use for defending the squad itself - taking Conceal in combination with Jink or being lucky enough to snag protect. But at the end of the day at 50 points per wound you need some serious output from them to validate the cost. I've been a fan of taking a Seer Council (2x Farseer, 5xWarlock) on bike, in tandem with a CAD giving me a third Farseer and Baharroth. This combination has mobility, Fearless, Hit & Run, any spells I could dream of, and serious offense.

No small coincidence, it's very expensive.

I am going to take the squad with spears.. I can only have 5 but that is ok.. that will give them a shot and a charge which is good if I need it to finish something off.. I am also going to take all the farseer powers from the runes of fate list and take all the warlock powers (all 2 of them :/) from runes of battle..

Conceal is excellent with jink for a 2+ cover and fortune is beserk .. protect is good jinx is better and eldritch storm is crazy good
