Subject: Looking to get into Malifaux need help

I am really interested in getting into Malifaux and wanted some help in choosing a starter set to work on.
I am torn between the following:
Hired Guns
The Kin
Of Metal and Flesh
I like the models in all of these sets but wanted to know from you guys what would be the best crew for someone looking to get into the game?
Thanks for reading and any words of wisdom
Steve

So, obviously, it depends on what faction you like, what you like the look of, blah blah blah...
But on a maybe more helpful note, I'd suggest The Kin. Of Metal and Flesh is weird and tricksy, and I wouldn't suggest it for a beginner. Hired Guns is probably the simplest of the three to learn, but might also get dull quickest. The Kin, however, should be simple enough to learn with, but complex enough that you'll be happy to keep playing them for a good long while.
On a less helpful note again, whichever you think is coolest will probably be fine, though. From a balance perspective, most masters/crews are equivalently powerful, so that's no problem, either.

I'm actually very fond of Hired Guns as a starter, as all the models ignore blasts and pulses, and have armor, making them more resilient.
If you're a 40k player, Hired Guns as been described as the Space Marines of Malifaux: no one is super great, but everyone is good, and they're really resilient and flexible. They have high will power as well. They're a solid choice.
Also, Von Schill has a jump pack, and looks like Hulk Hogan.

Yea, I would look across the rest of those crews' factions and see if there isn't another crew or good handful of models you wouldn't mind expanding into after this first box. Or you could do like my buddy and just buy all the crews you like, because the price is right I feel like Hoffman has the least in common with the rest of his faction, Ophelia the most (but you gotta like gremlins ), and Von Schill somewhere in the middle. He's most likely to use Freicorps peeps but can get some mileage out of other Outcast weirdos. - Salvage

Hoffman isn't a good starter crew. He's a very complex master who needs a specific activation order and crew. Plus, his henchman isn't out in plastic yet, and good luck finding a metal one.
I gave someone a demo yesterday, and I wound up having to walk the guy through every turn.
Hollywood Schill is the best starter master out of the three you suggested. Gremlins are very complex(And not a real faction!) what with all the controlled chaos they have.

Hired Guns: I have never faced or played them, but from what I understand von Schill is a tough SOB with a fairly simple playstyle. He can hit hard is is a tough man to keep in one place.
The Kin: My first crew, and still probably my favourite. The master is a guntoting beatstick, that with the right combo of minis and upgrades, can be hugely survivable. Which is handy, as she'll be a target and a danger to herself (like most gremlins) Some awesome models in there as well! This crew hits like a truck, and will spend it's time doing damage to itself and others. Slop haulers, you'll need them!
Of Metal and Flesh: My only foray into Guild. Hoffman relies on the things around him to get the job done, and relies on the player thinking about when he's moving and who he's stood near. A little more complicated than the other two definitely, but being able to hire outside his faction, he opens up some good possibilities, especially if you like any of the MS&U models..

M&SU constructs. The Hoff can't hire Kang.
And I should note that Schill is hella difficult to kill. Not quite Levi, but still difficult.
