hey guys me and my bro have just started Warmachines. I am cygnar and he got the roboty people (cant remember the name)
I bought the Starter set so have Stryker, lancer, ironclad and a charger
I was wondering what the next step should be from here?

You have an 11 point starter there (16 points of models, and Stryker provides 5 free points), so the usual thing would be to (after having a few battlebox games) move up to a 15 point force.
There are a number of different options for getting those 4 extra points, but the most popular for Cygnar are the Black 13th Gun Mages. They're a character unit of 3 gunmages that have a boatload of tricks and abilities, which is why they're a popular upgrade option.
The other popular option would be to get a Squire, and find 2 points to add in otherwise. You could either get another 2 point solo (Gorman Di Wolf is popular), or you can spend 2 points upgrading your Ironclad to another Warjack (I'd suggest a Centurion would work well, because his higher armour stacks with Strykers abilities).
Third option, you change the Lancer to a Centurion for 3 points, and run double heavies, and use the last point for someone like the mercenary Reinholdt.
At that point, you can start looking towards 25 points for the next milestone. You can also looking at getting a second caster, to give you some variety at that point.

Actually it's 17 point of models and Stryker provides 6 free points :-)
Before you see about going about buying more models, I would play and play and play battlebox games until you get a handle on the rules. If you have a local gaming club or store near by see if they play warmachine join up and play more games. This point is just learning the rules so don't be downhearted if you lose.
Once you have got a grip on the game then move to 15pts
Here are some of the options you can choose when moving to 15pts
The a few options
1. The Black 13th. These are a character unit who provide an abundance of tools for their points and considered the most common progress from the Battlebox to 15pts
2. Squire and Arlan - Squire can give Stryker an extra focus when he needs it, increases his Control Range, Re-roll a missed spell, especially useful with Earthquake. Arlan - offers Repair to keep the games running, Power Booster to give a Jack Focus taking the focus strain of Stryker and Evasive so a Jack is immune to free strikes, great for getting the Lancer out of combat or getting the ironclad in
3. Ol' Rowdy and Squire - Basically you replace the Ironclad with Stryker's Character Jack Ol' Rowdy. He is Cygnar's best Character Jack. Has a better MAT and ARM over a normal lancer, has the Aggressive Rule so he can run and charge for free, Counter Charge so if someone ends up a bit to close he can charge and attack them. Which makes him a good bodyguard for your caster, and his affinity stops Stryker being knocked and better DEF against Melee attacks and Rowdy from being slammed when in b2b.

Ah, I always forget that Stryker has 6 WJ points
But I just remebered One other option which is great for expansion - the Cygnar All-in-one box, if you can still find it around. No cross over with the battlebox, and provides a lot of great options - just an idea if you'd like to get a good deal for a big expansion of your force

That's for all the feedback guys! I appreciate it, will read those few links and me and my bro run our own game club so I introducing war machine there on Saturday(will be a sketchy demo haha)
The models I have saw that I like are
Victoria Hanley
Cyclone
Sentinel
Storm guard and
Trenches? What are those units like?

Victoria Haley in any version is a top caster in Cygnar and probably not the best choice to dive in straight away with
Good starting casters outside of Commandet Coleman Stryker (normally seen as pStryker or Styker1) are Lt Caine or pCaine and Major Marcus "Siege" Brisbane
The Cyclone is a jack not widely seen sadly since Stormwall was released.
Sentinel does get used mainly for it's Shield guard to protect your caster from Eiryss and Gorman Di Wulfe.
Stormguard and Trenchers really need help to get the most out of them.
If you are looking at in faction Cygnar units you can't go wrong with the following
Arcane Tempest Gun Mages
Tempest Blazers
Black 13th
Stormblade Infantry
Stormlances
