Hello all!

I have slowly acquired a small force of Grey Knights but i have never played them and i am not quite sure where to begin.
I need your help to form these to a respectable list:

Draigo
Librarian

15 power armour GKs
10 terminators

2 Dreadknights
2 Stormravens
2 Land Raiders (all 3 variants)

2 Rhinos/Razorbaks
2 Dreadnoughts

None of the above have been assembled and i can turn them to anything i want
I can additionally buy a box or two if needed

What units and loadouts would you suggest?
I am looking for a 1000 pt list for starters and then ungrade to 1850

Thanks!
Leonidas

2 Dreadknights, Librarian with a small Terminator squad and then PA Knights in Razorbacks could be a solid core.

Dreadknights yes, power armor dudes, not so much. And the only good razorback is a free razorback, which is a thing but apparently GKs are ineligeble for welfare.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
You need an HQ, which can be handled with a blinged out Terminator. Magnetize his cc weapon and gun, and your HQ is covered.

Terminators are the only decent troops, so you probably want 15-20 total. Mostly swords to save points, 1-2 hammers per 5 dudes, 1 psycannon per 5, and done.

As many dreadknights as you can get is the way to go, and they're not hard to magnetize.

Draigo is a beast.

Anything beyond that is just for playing fluffy games. Competitively, beyond this core you should add in allies to cover your weaknesses.

Just here to make fun of you.

The good news is you could probably do more than 2000 points with those models. The bad news is that Grey Knights troops choices aren't so good, so it seems like most GK players use the nemesis strike force (only one troops slot necessary) with a bare minimum of terminators (I would suggest 5 with one hammer and one psycannon, don't put these on the sergeant) and none of the basic power armored troops.

I would recommend building your power armored guys into interceptors or purifiers. The other power armored units are pretty weak for the cost. These should use incinerators where possible but a squad of 5 purifiers with 2 psycannons can be useful as well.

The Landraiders and Stormravens should max out on lascannons because GK have almost no anti-tank weapons.

Thanks for your insight!

I am leaning towards this list at 1850 pts, using the NSF:

Kaldor Draigo
Librarian, lvl3, DLD

Terminator squad (5), hammer, psycannon
Terminator squad (5), hammer, psycannon
Terminator squad (5), hammer, psycannon

Interceptor squad (5), hammer, incinerator
Stormraven lascannon, MM

Dreadknight psycannon, incinerator, greatsword, teleporter
Dreadknight psycannon, psilenser, greatsword, teleporter

Aegis Defence Line with Comms Relay

The ADL gives re-rolls for reserves starting t1, all of the units can deep strike or start on board depending on the game.
Draigo and the Libby go either together or split in different termie squads.
The Dreadknights are fully kitted-out, i am not sure about that. Is the psilencer any good? Some guy the other day was claiming that it can murder riptides, but needing sixes to wound followed by a 2+ armour save, it seems hard even for one wound to pass through and insta kill.
The stormraven provides some anti-air but i am not convinced 2 anti-tank shots are worth 200 pts.

Is Draigo really worth it?
Part of me leans towards horde grey knights, remove Draigo, DLD, Stormraven, one weapon from each Dreadknight and go the "ass many boots on the ground as possible" direction.

Thoughts? Comments?

Draigo is absolutely 100% worth it. Gate of Infimity is one of the best powers in the game, and he himself is just about the best single combat character (thanks to Force on str 9 ap 2 attacks at Initiative). Make two of those terminator squads a single 10 man to go with Draigo, you can always combat squad later.

You do need to deploy a model on the Aegis to get the reroll, though. Also, with the teleporters, no reason to deepstrike the dreadknights and risk mishapping unless you're trying to null deploy, but then you lose your reroll. Honestly, the NSF kind of sucks since it lacks the tools to reliably come in T1 and you still scatter, but it's what we have to work with.

Storm Ravens aren't great, but they're something at least. You do get missiles for the turn you come in from reserves. Keep in mind the storm raven cannot arrive turn 1 from the NSF benefits, since it isn't deepstriking.

Stormravens w/o psybolt ammo are straight up crappy, imo. I know, the BA have them and I quit using them.

In which case is a 10-man termie squad worth it with Draigo? Is it not too risky to deep strike?

Correct about the ADL, i could get an inquisitor with servo skulls to man the ADL and help the Deep Strike scatters.
Also, a Dreadknight (or the Interceptors) starting the game attached to the ADL could man it and then shunt forward.
