With them coming out this week I am struggling with how to equip them.

Would you rather go for the normal bow or the cross bows and utalise the extra shots and even more if you stand still.

Also I know the thunder bolt cross bow is ugly but damn it can do alot of damage

So which would you choose??

I'm all about aesthetics so I'm going bows. They look awesome with the bows.

Standard 5-man unit, prime with shockbolt and armed with bows. Most versatile option.

I hate to further the SIgmarine comparisons, but I'm toying with using the crossbows and 2 thunderbows in a unit of 10 as an assault/close support role.

That's what I was thinking. All those shots will certainly soften up stuff and help out squads in "combat" and the thunder gun 2 of them does 2d3 mortal wounds which is nice

But on the other hand the normal bows rend and can fire further. And the sky bolt can do d6 wounds

Such a hard decision!!

Bows all the way for me. With horses moving 12" and then charging 2d6 you're looking at a chance of not being even able to shoot at the enemy either because he charged you or your tarpit that's in front of those shooters. At least 20" guarantees you one shot (in the open) before you get charged. 12" ranged weapons are kinda joke-ish imho.
