Hey guys. I have a fondness for weird eBay things. So, I picked up this. It's a 6.5cm tall, Citadel Dwarf plaque. No idea what it's based on, I just loved the design.

The seller was pretty helpful - back when this was made, the staff could buy metal bits and pieces from the warehouse, and bitz and such.
He picked it up back then, so at least some certainty of it's origin. Based on the other things he has for sale and his location in Notts, I have no reason to doubt that it is what it is.

My question is, was this part of something else, or based on a similar design? Anyone recognise it? Were there other "plaques" like this?

It's completely smooth on the back, like a shield or part, is why I wonder.

It looks like part of a terrain piece from one of the old draws arm books

I think he meant "Dwarf army books" but autocorrect got the best of him. You'd see things like this all over terrain in those. If I were you I'd get some casts of that made!

Oh derp. I should have got there myself.

I'll have to see if my partner still has some of the old army books from the time and take a peep. I'm sure there are .PDFs lurking about but I wouldn't know where to start.

The seller said he'd be surprised if more than a handful made it out of there, so I'm not about to take casts, it sort of takes advantage of a little oddity sale.

I'm really struggling with ideas of how to make it into a diorama or base, though. I'm getting a real Bugman's Bar vibe off it, might look at actually fitting it onto a plaque.

Hm. Turns out it could also be a Squat piece. The seller explained he got it at the same time as his, before they were dropped.

Anyone remember if there was something like this in their photographs?
