Hey guys,
I'm building an Imperial Knight. The knight is partially assembled and I've begun the metal dry-brushing.

It's the armor paint that worries me. I have a Space Wolf army and so the question is; do I try to follow my space wolf color scheme and try to integrate some sort of House Belisarius theme or do I paint a typical blue errant knight?

Thoughts?

Do its own unique heraldry, with maybe a plate or a quarter plate in SW iconography to tie it in?

Mmmm...
A quarter plate could be really interesting... good idea.

Thanks to JohnnyHell's suggestion... I decided to try to 'quarter' my knight.
I really liked the blue color scheme but I also wanted something to tie into my Space Wolves army.
I wanted to represent that we had a free blade who worked with the Space Wolves; or maybe had some debt of honor to the Space Wolves. At first I was going to just quarter the left shoulder and leave the rest of the Imperial Knight blue, but I thought he would look too much like a Librarian so... I decided to try this. I want to try to mimic the Space Wolf color scheme as much as possible, hence his shoulder is yellow. His giant chain sword will be red.

Strong progress yesterday.
He's about ready to add decals and damage...

Done!
I'm pretty pleased with how it came out.
The actual model looks a little darker than the images show.
