Hi people. Just wondering what should be my next course of action. Here's what I have:

Chaos Lord (DV)
Daemon Prince w/ wings
20 csm (2 champions, 2 icons, 2 meltagun, 2 plasma gun)
2 rhino
5 raptors (2 special weapons)
20 bloodletters (1 icon, 1 )
5 possessed
5 terminators (2 PF, 1 CF)
6 bloodcrushers (1 champ, 1 musician, 1 icon)

Where should I go from here ?

Where are your khorne berzerkers lol?
A land raider would probably not be bad.
Most people will tell you to get 5 helldrakes minimum. (not me)
I like Maulerfiends.

But the most glaring I can see. is... you have no bikes. Or fleshhounds. Both are really good in daemonkin. Those should probably be top of the list.

Berzerkers and Land Raiders are fluffy and look cool, but not very competitive choices.

1-2 Heldrake, 15-20 Flesh Hounds (use WHFB Dire Wolves/War Hounds if you're on a budget), 6-12 bikes with some special weapons (meltas) in there, 2-3 Maulerfiends and 1+ Soul Grinders (a Blood Host with a minimum Slaughtercult and maxed out soul grinders (5-6) with a mixture of flamers and warp phlegm seems to be a thing)

I also have a Daemonkin army I am beefing up, currently getting some bikes, hounds, and a grinder or two (depending on my budget this month). I know people do grinder spam but that's a bit outside my budget.

Is a heldrake really required to be competitive when you have the grinders, maulers, and gorepack?

I'd say your immediate priority would be to get some flesh hounds. At least 10 but 20+ would be better to give you options in terms of number of units and unit size. Also in conjunction you will need some bikes if you want to run a Gorepack which is probably the best Formation in the codex.
Otherwise I'd also get at least one Soulgrinder and also a Heldrake if you use a CAD.
