I know this might be a stupid noob question but 'ere I go...

On the GW website does "Sold Out" mean forever? What of the Fantasy line that isn't Stormcast or new Chaos?

Sold out usually means gone forever (especially in reference to the lotr or hobbit line).

However, they are trying to sell out and run down their old stock of warhammer fantasy. They are reboxing items with cover art with units are on round bases. This is all being done so you don't have to buy an expensive necrosphynx and then a circle base to go with it as to fit with AOS.

So don't fear, nothing is sold out forever unless it is a character that they are remaking in plastic. If the unit is in the warscrolls it will continue to be sold.

Cheers

What specifically are you looking at? A lot of stuff will be going away to be repacked and released later

Specifically empire stuff. They were the army I wanted most to play in WFB and now it seems like the old lines will go poof in favor of the new stuff. I'm wondering if they're keeping it around because there aren't replacements yet. If that happens later that's fine I'd just like the time to buy the stuff I want and have it stand on it's own.

Honestly, do yourself a favor and don't buy from the company that sold Warhammer Fantasy out, no pun intended.

eBay or independent online retailers are the way to go. They'll have everything you need. And if you didn't buy from them before due to some misguided loyalty to GW and thinking that supporting them directly would help keep the games you love afloat, time to change and save a ton of money.

I plan on going through my FLGS as much as possible for any game for the following reasons:
1. Small business support the local economy
2. The owner has to put food on the table just like anyone else (I am somewhat acquainted with him and and met the family.)
3. GW will get their cut one way or another (they're just like that.)

However I will take you up on your advice and take a look at eBay. Been on the site but never tried them before.

You can buy it in Poland.

As for the main topic - I support not buying from GW - local gaming shops often offer discounts on the products that already have prices lower than the GW ones (in Poland it's often big difference, like 10-15$ off on bigger sets or at least 3-5$ off on small ones. The 50$ elite infantry kits are often priced at 40$ here, for example. And if you're a regular customer you get additional discounts or some bonuses like a paint or some small kit, especially with bigger purchases. :-)

So, yeah, be a good neighbour, buy at your local GWocery store!
