Hello,

I live in Brazil and after some months I decided that I rather play than paint. I have little spare time and fed up with clogged airbrushes, dried paints and poor state brushes.

So, I entered in contact with brush 4 hire. With an order of 50pts of Trollbloods. They gave me back a quote of 1075 USD+shipping. As I never ordered this kind of service, I would love for you guys to give me some feedback.

I also am looking for someone that do paint by comission. You can PM if you woud like to take projects for a while.

How many models is 50pts, for those folk who're not familiar with the game system?

Around 35-50 models.

That's a somewhat standard price - you could definitely find cheaper options, but sometimes going with the cheapest means a less reputable service and some risk unfortunately. The Brush4Hire guys seem like really great folks, although I haven't personally commissioned them, and that price is in line with quotes I've gotten for warmahordes projects (of course it varies if one of the models was a Mountain King but trolls are rather beefy in general).

It really depends on what you are going for.

How awesome are you looking to have it painted?
Time frame?
Anything fancy like conversion work or basing.
Shipping might be interesting.

Without specifics i wouldnt have a clue if the quote is right.

Ask around here and i think we have a reputation thread around.

Oh my god I'm becoming martel.
Send help!

Sounds reasonable for decent tabletop gaming pieces, batch painted. Units will be pretty uniformly done. Works out to about $20 - $35 per model on average, so about an hour and a half per regular infantry, big guys a bit longer. I know people that can get very good results in that sort of timeframe.

Edit: It was touched on above, but I'll be clear about it - be extremely wary of lowball quotes from new or poor reputation place - a bit of due diligence on the people you're going to send cash/models to can save a headache later.
