Simple enough, as it says in the title. And I'm sure it's something that resurfaces every once in a while.

So say 15pts to give a command squad jump packs?

Granted, its probably more worthwhile to stick them on bikes, but its for the theme (raven guard-ish)

Would there were any restrictions (such as attaching shrike and having 5 infiltrating grav guns with stealth and shrouded first turn)

If your attack is going too well, you have walked into an ambush

I don't see why this isn't already a thing, but hey, GW.

As far as limiting it's possible OPness, why not just add in a sentence similar to: If taking jump packs two members of the squad may take weapons from the Space Marines Special Weapons list, or something like that, limiting the chances of seeing the issue you mentioned.

Then again, it's just one squad that can shoot one thing, and with Shrike and the weapons it'd end up being pretty expensive so that might be the offset.

As one of the guys you'll be using it against, I say go for it if I can put jump packs on my HQ and nobz.

Also assault marines as troops can be unlocked by putting a pack on the captain, not necessarily using that forgeworld guy

I come in peace. I didn't bring artillery. But I'm pleading with you, with tears in my eyes: If you mess with me, I'll kill you all

Blood Angel Command Squads have the Jump Pack option instead of access to bikes, you could either uses them as an allied counts as or just copy their rules and costs, most opponents wouldn't mind I suspect as they are quite inferior to bikes.

Maybe it isn't a thing as its in the BA already, doesn't exactly make sense but there's a lot that doesn't. In general I agree that it does seem inferior to bikes, the only possible issue I could really come up with was the shrike infiltrating thing. But rather than trying to come up with a rule to prevent it, maybe just don't do it I guess. Although it would ring up at about 370 for the unit. Using the BA ones would work okay, maybe minus some if the random things like having to have a champion though.

Despite saying grav-guns, had been wanting to run plasmaguns. Just like the style plus without relentless its probably better or equitable in a lot of situations. Would be cool if there was a sort of plasma carbine type thing, assault 2 12" plasma weapon so they can assault afterwards.

Yeah some of the ork HQ would make sense to be able to take a rokkit pack like a warboss or big mek. Painboy not so sure if they'd have the attention span to learn how to use it, but they should be able to fix themselves up after crashing. The only thing I couldn't see in one is a weirdboy. They're way to out of it to do more than stumble around. But for the tabletop, librarians can get jump packs so... Eh...

Now that I think of it you could probably do some interesting things with deep striking and locator beacons as well.
