There may be some truth to some of it, but I haven't experienced the issues he mentioned. I've used all the paints he mentioned and I prefer Reaper, but that's my opinion.

You do need to thin them properly, but I can't say I've ever had any real issues with using Reaper paints to do some layering.

I'm not going to watch an 8 minute video of someone sitting there talking. Care to outline it?

Anyway, Reaper paints are fine for layering. The ones I own are a bit thicker than other hobby paints out of the bottle, it just means you have to thin them more before painting with them, but that shouldn't hinder you from using them with a layering technique.

They do also have a slightly more matte finish than most wargaming paint lines, though I don't think that would reduce their suitability when it comes to layering.

that video is all about his opinion, I wouldn't say he is right, I use reaper, and have citadel as well, I haven't tried Vallejo but have thought of getting some of their airbrush paints to try.

Every company has its plus and minuses, so you can't base any decision on what someone else thinks, just try a few of each, and see what works for you, since every painter is different.
