Hello everyone, first i would likke to say thanks to everyone whi posts their ideas, strategies, and pics. I have enjoyed your war soaked imaginations for years from the outside looking in. I am a veteran of warhammer fluff but never could quite decide which faction I wanted to spend my hard earned cash on. Space marines were my fall back everytime I decided this was the weej I would begin jy army. I would waffle back and forth over them or Tau or Necrons but then undecided I would just buy a book or a white dwarf and start all over. The tech marine was the only model I ever bought. Now that the skitarii and ad mech have hit I have more models than I can paint! I finally comitted, I found the army that I could immerse in. I am a welder and fabricator by trade and I run my own shop lovingly referred to as the Iron Church, so when I saw the skitarii codex on the shelf on one of my trips to the local game store to stand in the corner and watch the games happen I was in love. So here I have started and any advice or strategies are welcome. I will be posting pics of ky army as they get painted, and would oove any imput on building the fluff for my splinter faction of the ad mech. First question is what is the best melee unit we have ? In either skitarii or ad mech list. Also who can think of a really obscure forge world that has appeared a few times in the history?

You might get more responses on your questions by posting in more specifc threads (40k General Discussion would be good).

Rust stalkers are a pretty nasty close combat unit. I would recommend them.

In terms of Forgeworld names, you could look to the Daniverse for those. Fortis-Binary, Orestes, and Urdesh are all Forgeworlds in the Gaunt's Ghosts series. Personally, I like Orestes, since he is also a dude from a greek play. The one with the furies, I believe. The Iron Church would make a good name for an Admech faction.
