Hey guys! So recently got some pieces from TTCombat, assembled them and used some Krylon Grey Matte primer over them. Turned out pretty well, but these things SOAK UP PAINT like nothing other, even with the primer on. Should I give them another base coat of some other spray paint maybe? I tried dry brushing some Citadel paints on them but it just doesn't apply very well at all. What am I doing wrong?

Try using some dollar store acrylic paint on them first. Put on a few solid coats of that stuff first, and then go in to do details and weathering once you're pleased with the paint's thickness.

Lets see:
1) Seal it with PVA glue mixed with water.
2) Seal it with a thick varnish spray coat
3) Airbrush instead
4) Try a cheap craft paint first
these are things people suggest in the past.

As a contractor I'd have to say hit IT with some regular plain housepaint. MDF soaks paint. So a few coats will be necessary for proper coverage.
If you really wanna seal the MDF use wet room wall primer.
It goes on quickly with a roller. Basically it's airhardening liquid rubber. If it's good enough to prevent water damage in the bathrooms I build for a living IT will keep the MDF from drinking paint.
I'd use wet room primer personally. But I always have like 20 40 liters of the stuff available.
But generally from all the fethin houspainting I've done I've never gotten away with only one coat. Always two as a bare minimum.
Only paints I've found to give excellent coverage is Flügger acrylics. But IT is expensive thick paint.
But my god it's worth every krone IT costs.
But the easiest cheapest way is regular housepaint.
Just do a few coats.
Just make sure to use matte paint. It has more tooth for additional coats to stick better.
Hope this helps.

I recently bought the lovely Wolsung Warehouse, so I was looking for some painting tipps as well. I'm worried that the thick coat some people reccomended will cost me the fine details like the brick wall.
