Hi guys, what do you think is the best elite choice for the 2 compulsory elite slots in the company of the great wolf detach?

Dreadnoughts are bad, even the axe/shield one has only 3 Attacks and the 3++ in the front is not reliable, it would be viable if it had 4 base attacks like the space marines dreads

Scouts are rubbish

lonewolves are not scoring and they dont have mobility and damage

Ironpriests with thunderwolves are good but i find them expensive (you can take 2 regular thunderwolves with SS at the same price)

And we are left with wolf guard. So in my oppinion the best elite choice is either power armoured wolf guard with combies and drop pod or
WG terminators with combies and a pod

I think that the best TDA WG in a pod load out is (2xSS/Combi-weapon,3xPA/Combiweapon) cost effective and good for alpha strike and followind turn assault with some survavability.

What do you think??

Servitors works, 20pt tax.

If you want something usable I gently use ironpriests but sometimes use Wolfguard usually cheaply but last game went with 5combi plasma in a pod as a Hit squad, worked well but not something I'd always do.

Equally I've had fun with dreads, not hugely comp but fun
