Necrons have a very limited troop choice, warriors or immortals. What new necron troops would you want to see? Hell, what anykind of necron unit would you like to see?
I personally would like to receive some kind of Titan, even something like the warhound titan

<Dynasty> ~10500pts
War Coven of the Coruscating Gaze ~3000pts
Thrice-Damned Plague Corps ~3250pts
Admech (TBN) ~3500pts +30k Bots and Ulator

You want a Titan as a troop choice?

Frankly, aside from a few armies (Craftworld Eldar, Imperial Guard), most armies cap out at two different options in the Troop department.

I did say "anykind " of unit. And if I played those other armies I would want a little more choice aswell

I was pulling your leg about starting the conversation on Troops, and rapidly ending up on Titans

Forgeworld are working on a Tau titan, so other Xenos titans could well turn up eventually.

In my opinion (returning to the original point) it's difficult to have too much variety in the troop slot. Most armies take a basic sort of trooper (let's say a tactical space marine) and then add a defining feature which sort of transforms it into another slot:
Want a faster version? - Assault marines - FA
Want a shootier version? - Devastator - HS
Want a more elite version? - Sternguard - Elite

The trick is adding variety without making one obviously an improved version of the other. Obvious parallels can be made between Scouts and Tacticals (+1 save), Warriors and Immortals (+1 save), but other armies have it a bit more interesting - Fire Warriors or Kroot? Drastically different saves, ranges and combat ability, but without simply being "the other unit, but better". CSM have Marines and Cultists, which again are drastically different, but which the Marines seem to get discarded often - possibly because when all your choices in other slots are Marines +1, having a cheap unit capable of holding objectives is all you want.

I'm surprised Flayers weren't troops (and indeed, I just had to go check to make sure), and things like Tau Pathfinders could potentially fit in the troop slot too.

I would lie to see some great big spider like walker, I have been thinking a little about it
say triad stalkers front legs on it's body + 4 more to give it plenty clearance for a doomsday cannon strapped under it 90% of the annihilation barge up top, something like that but made to work without it being a brick of plastic that does not really work out would be cool,
a overlord mounted on a wraiths back would be pretty sweet,
whole front section of the ghost ark/doomsday cannon with a twin linked tesla destructor attached to both sides of the central orb on it's body,
some kind of 8 legged 4 headed canoptek construct operating 4 control panels sitting inside a semi-clear orb pre-made to look like oil on crystal clear water suspended inside a disk that also shoots real lasers,

Death. The eternal blink. The capricious dance of Now Ya Stop Movin' Forever. Well contrary to popular belief, death isn't just for dead people. It can happen to anyone.

I remember when we only had warriors as troops, so having immortals there is already nice as is.

Personally I always hoped forgeworld would do something like this:

http://cdn.instructables.com/F85/04M2/GAPUREL6/F8504M2GAPUREL6.LARGE.jpg

Aside from that, Necrons have everything they need. Maybe some heavy support infantry. Like bulkier immortals wielding gauss cannons or something along those lines.

That would be cool, honestly, if I had to create a faction, these would be the slots.

3 Troop
6 Elites
6 Fast Attack
3 Heavy Support
6 vehicles
2 super heavies
1 Titan

<Dynasty> ~10500pts
War Coven of the Coruscating Gaze ~3000pts
Thrice-Damned Plague Corps ~3250pts
Admech (TBN) ~3500pts +30k Bots and Ulator

What do I want to see from Necrons?

I want to see a Canoptek HQ option, and a Canoptek Troops option.

Necrons need more access to AP2.....so there's that.

Warriors with gauss, Immortals with gauss or tesla. With 3 solid choices more is unnecessary.

Grey Knights 7500 points
Inquisition, 2500 points

Adeptus Mechanicus 3000 points

Compared to some other factions I.e. IOM, Eldar, and CSM, 3 is not that many, like space marines who can have sergeant and a multitude of weapons
All we have is 3 choices, 2 of which are the same unit, and No unit customization either

I have always wished that more armies had this option. Why can't Fire Warriors (for example) take a man-portable burst cannon?

Space marines get 8 average guns and 2 above average guns in a 10 man squad. Necrons get 10 slightly-above average guns. I like the distinction they made there.

Agreed. There are a lot of times where I'd kill to have some sort of Melta or Grav.

I don't think another troops choice is required. I think ranged AP that isn't the Doomsday Ark would be great.

I'd like to see a troop choice that adds more variety, like a unit of cybered out human thralls or something showing the necrons are working on applying transference to other species. Maybe C'Tan sparks which are near mindless fragmetns of C'Tan, much more limited in power and are released like hounds to sate their eternal hunger for bio energy on the enemies of the necrons.

Other awesome units I'd like to see, a crpytec leading a unit of cybered out enslaved psykers, because it sucks being the only army that has nothing to do in the psychic phase, and it sucks worse being the eldars punching bag in said psychic phase.

Constantly being negative doesn't make you seem erudite, it just makes you look like a curmudgeon.

I'd like to see flayed ones as a troop choice in the regular codex as well as weapon options on the warriors
I also want a necron titan.

What I really want though is the option to upgrade a warrior or immortal to a sergeant type.
I really think this was the direction GW should have gone when they axed the different crypteks. Instead of having them as an hq choice I believe we should have been able to upgrade a troop model to a cryptek in lieu of a sergeant

or something along those lines

Why is it not yet the 21st century of the 20th century? I want my flying car!

Flayed Ones should not be troops. It doesn't fit the fluff, by any means. And it's not like the Elite section is crowded or something.

And a decent Necron Super Heavy would be nice.

Necron Ghosts - Jump infantry that have Stealth and Shroud and a 5++ save. Armed with tesla carbines and c'tan power blades. Modelled to look closer to the old wraiths. Bonus points if they're made from clear (or green?) acrylic.

I'd like to see C'tan that are modelled after "undead" versions of the Egyptian gods, starting with an Anubis version.

Necron Dreadnoughts - 2+ armor save armed with twin-linked Gauss flayers and power scythes or dispersion shields (the ones that reflect shots back at opponents).

I'd like to see Pariahs come back.

Necron obelisk. Deep strike, very slow movement, has the Triarch's death ray (one per facing). You can use it as a beacon for deep striking other units onto the board.

Crystal Refraction Field - terrain pieces that are large crystals. Gauss and Tesla weapons get +6" range and +1 Strength when units are within 6" of them. A Necron Lord or Overlord that is within 6" of them can have the crystal fire as if it were a Monolith Gauss flayer array. Counts as an objective.

Stargate - yeah, the thing from SG-1. Terrain piece. Allows Necrons to arrive from reserves from it. Counts as an objective.

It never ends well

Yeah, the operative word is *solid* choices. Gauss just makes the troops infinitely better/more useful.

Nobody's really sure what Dolmen Gates are any more. They used to be stargate type things, now they seem to be base-to-point teleporters of some sort.
