Why choose? Get both!

I've actually got both, build in progress. T&B look great, I'd personally go with Warpfire or build with both (which I'm doing, it looks cool)

The Deceiver is cool (I have an Eshin themed army), though you may want to ask your buddies if it's ok to run it as Skreech or even just build it that way. He can call upon the ability of the other Clans:

-1 to be hit
Heal d3
+1 to wound
+1 to hit
D3+3 with Doom Glaive
+1 casting

He also knows the Dreaded 13th. If you keep T&B nearby, they can both use it. So that's a potential 41 Mortal Wounds dealt out in the Hero phase between both. 26 of those wounds allow you to put down more Skaven. So you could put down Queek Headtaker, Warlord Spinetail, Tretch Craventail, Skaven Warlord, Chieftain with Battle Standard, Clanrats, Stormvermin and/or Skavenslaves. You will also not have many friends left either

"Orkses never lost a battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!"

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

it's fantastic. i have never thought it.
however, the units of stormvermin that i will put in the battle, are very small, and the heroes can't use the ability of command.
I thought to use verminlord deceiver because he can teleport himself and others.

It's not a bad spell The Deceiver has, and he's cool. Just note that he can only move a Hero model this way. That's a nice way to keep one of your Heros out of trouble, or put them in a better place.

Also Dreaded 13th spell can be used to summon a vermin-lord Warbringer lmao

I personally prefer verminlord - the miniature is just plain stunning, while from T&B I actually only like Thanquol - Boneripper is the same misbegotten, stupid design as those rat ogre 40k terminators that make no sense with gun barrels sticking out of their guts (barrels still need a firing mechanism which, apparently, replaced stomach and other internal organs).

I'd rather have regular rat ogre Boneripper with claws and stuff rather than flamers or burning balls.

I am partial to Thanquol and Boneripper. The warp-fire projecectors are one of the scariest things in the game currently. 2d6 mortal wounds at any distance is simply disgusting.

I agree with StevO, the warp fire projectors are just nasty

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes

Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum
