Commoragh (closer to the bottom)

So im trying to paint the Ke'lshan sept, and im not sure how to get the is look http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Ke%27lshan

Ive never really mixed paints, so im not sure how much is needed to get that cloth color. Could someone give me some tips for painting this sept?

It appears to be a more blueish grey

looks like Black base

highlight with admech standard grey (the dark base one)

IIRC it has a bit of a blue tinge to it.

The biggest mistake beginner painters make is trying to mix color to match what they see, instead of layering colors to match. When you mix colors, unless you're really good at measuring the amount of paint and water, you will get various results.

The grey scheme I see on lexicanum: black primer, dark reaper fatiques with codex grey highlight; mecanicum grey armor with codex grey highlight, administrum grey edging.
