Hi all, new kid on the block here...
Setting things up to start painting again after 20 years or so of vacation. Decided to use Vallejo Game colors this time. However, I am not able to identify all the equivalent colors from the Citadels range. Was hoping you guys could help out. I am looking for the matching Vallejo Game color to these Citadel colors:
- Temple guard blue
- Genestealer purple
- Pink horror
- Russ grey
- Pallid wych flesh

Been looking online but not able to find the matching colors.

Thanks

Try the DakkaDakka paint chart:

Vallejo also has a comparison table though they were, iirc, using the old citadel colours as reference.

I don't know for certain but there may not be exact matches as I believe the Vallejo range was a match to the old Citadel range, and the colours you mentioned may have been introduced in the new Citadel range.

Someone else may be able to advise better

The only other thing I would say is don't necessarily limit yourself to one paint range. You can mix and match to your hearts content so if there's a particular colour you really like from the Citadel range, then why not pick it up. They're a bit more expensive, but are good paints.

Actually they use the current Citadel colors:

Ok, so there doesn't seem to be any equivalent colors from Vallejo then. One option would be to mix and match brands as mentioned. Another alternative would be to try mix those colors by hand. And the third I guess would be to use a less similar color and suffer any difference.

Super thanks for the quick response guys!

You missed some on the chart:

Temple Guard Blue = VMC Blue Green (70808)
Palid Wych Flesh = VMC Silver Grey (70883)

There are not equivalents to the other three you listed.

But those are Model and not Game colors, right? Those colors behave differently, right?

Yes.

In my opinion, no.
