I'll try to make this short and sweet. New to LotR, bought a Easterling army and have a Mumak on the way as an ally. Here is everything I have/will have:

Amdur, Lord of Blades x1
Easterling War Priest x1
Easterling Captain on horse x1
Easterling Warrior w/ sword x16
Easterling Warrior w/ bow x16
Easterling Warrior w/ pike x15
Easterling Kataphrakt x9
War Mumak of Harad x1 (w/ 1 Haradrim Chieftan, 12 Haradrim Warriors - 6 spears, 6 bows)
Banner x1 (no model, just a loose banner I can put on someone I guess)
(all warrior/cavalry models have shields, except bowmen)

I played my first game last night vs Dwarfs and it was statistically close but mostly due to my lucky rolls, but I lost. My army still felt weak against his, but I guess that's usually the case w/ humans vs dwarves? It was 500pts and I had Amdur w/ 12 Pike Black Dragons, War Priest w/ 5 sword+shield and 7 bows, 5-man cavalry w/ Captain. Everyone but bows had shields.

Anyway, I ask what the strategy/tactics are for Easterlings, my options specifically? Just a phalanx of pikes supplemented by sword and cavalry flanks and keeping Fury bubble up? Shooting seems really weak, but I guess I should bring 3~5 just for strategic purposes? Upgrade everything to Black Dragons?

I presume the strat changes once I start using my Mumak...
