Subject: Do old supplements get obsolete with codex updates? E.g. Iyanden

When a codex is updated but the previous supplement that came out with the previous edition of the main codex does not get replaced do they both get invalidated?
For e.g Iyanden came out under 6th edition - is it still usable and workable?

Short answer: everything that isn't part of the current edition is out of date.
It's up to individuals what they'll allow from previous editions.

Iyanden works just fine with the 6th edition Codex: Eldar. With the 7th edition Craftworlds codex it's not compatible.
It's then up your group/store/tournament/opponent to decide whether they'll allow an older codex to be used instead of the latest one.

The simpler way is to look in GW's web store. If there's no book there, it's not compatible anymore.
Iyanden isn't being sold anymore there, while both SMs' are (Raukaan and Sentinels of Terra) - which means they're compatible with 7th

I would support this method.
