Brief Takticks:

STOMPA SMASH!!

(seriously) Meks keep stompa alive with a 5++ save and five 5+ repairs and one 3+ repair rolls per turn
Lootas use 4 fire points from Stompa's belly

Boys in BW to screen stompa and avoid it getting tarpitted

Grot camp rear objective / screen back from Deep Strikers

Blitz Bomba use bombs to murk High Priority targets

High Priority = anything that can readily damage stompa
I dont have to kill everything, just enough so that my Stompa can't get popped in one turn, then let the repair rolls take it from there.

KMK > Blitzabomba. It fits in fluff better, removes your opponents AA out of the game (nothing to shoot at) and it's S8 AP2. Lobbas if you really need that Barrage. Make sure to scratch build though, unless you've got dollar.

Why do you have two Battlewagons? You don't have a unit for the second one. To be honest you could drop the Boyz and have the aforementioned Mek Gunz. You could even load your HS slots with Mek Gunz. Just replace the Lootas with Burnaboyz (who can take the Mek upgrades).

Don't worry about tarpits, Stompa can (as the name might imply) Stomp to get out of tarpits. You can also use the FW version which is cheaper by 100 points or so with the Codex loadout, so room for a bit more bitz and bobz, such as Deffkoptas for Objectives, Tankbustas for popping tanks, whatever fits your flavour. The FW Stompa can even take Power Fields, which are essentially AV12 force fields protecting it, keeping it alive longer.

A single battle wagon is not going to live long..I would suggest taking two groups of bikers instead of a wagon full of shoota boyz ..( 8 warbikers+1 nob biker with PK and bp) and roll with it

yea replace that blitza bomma with MEK Gunz ..the KMC is very nice as is the smasha..and nothing beats a tracktor for anti air

If you're using battlescribe to make your list (its free - use it) it has the kustom stompa rules from forgeworld which you can use in your LOW slot and it works out to being 155 pts less for the exact same one in the orks codex.

Yeah, this was really old and I think I'll drop the BW and troops for something else, since I've satisfied my troops w/ grots.

and as far as just pretend my Stompa is the FW model
is kind of crap advice IMO

I would be pretty upset if my opponent was like "oh but this model is the FW version which is 150 points less, but same stats"

I really just want an excuse to use a flyer but haven't found a way to decently work on into my list

PS my stompa has been tarpitted a plenty, any time you run up against necrons or plague zombies or something like that
