Do I generate Warp Charges if I have a unit in reserves? I heard you can activate Force weapons on your opponents turn. Is this true and, if so, how does this work? Can you please provide some sort of reference to back these answers up?

You always generate Warp Charges, whether or not you have any Psykers on the table, or in your army at all.


You only add the Mastery Level of the Psykers that you have on the table at that time, though. See 'Generate Warp Charge' in the 'Resolving the Psychic Phase' section.

Also no you can't activate Force in your opponent's turn. Force is now just a normal spell and thus you cast it like a normal spell.

You are probably running into old chatter about old Force which was triggered when you dealt the wound.

Generating your WC is composed of two things:
- the player whose turn it is rolls a D6;
- add up Mastery Levels of all your Psyker units they currently have on the tabletop;

So to precisely answer your question:
yes you get WC from D6 roll even if you don't have any units on table, but you add up the Mastery Levels of all the Psyker units they currently have on the tabletop only.

So no additional WC from Mastery Levels if Psykers are in reserves.
