No.

The rule is quite specific and clear about what the requirements are and who the benefits apply to.

Is there a specific part of the rule you are confused about or have trouble understanding?

If you take 2 demi-companies and 1 support choice, then you get the transports for free, yes.

The minimum you have to field is:
1 captain
1 chaplain
6x5 tactical marines
2x5 assault marines (or an alternative like bikes)
2x5 devastator marines (or an alternative)
(optional a few units extra like command squad and dreadnoughts)

If you choose the Dark Angel codex, there are no alternative choices to assault and devastator (so exactly as above).

If you take the regular Space Marine codex you get chapter tactics of a chapter of your choice.

If you take Dark Angel codex you (instead) get overwatch on full BS.

First i tried this using the Space Marine codex and Iron Hands chapter rules (feel no pain on 6+) including terminators and dreadnoughts. As transports i had 9 free drop pods and 1 free razorback.
And i won the battle on objectives by just landing everywhere i had to be, while i lost most of my army and my opponent only lost 25% of his army. Dreadnoughts and terminators are a quite bad choice by the way.

But next time i will use the Dark Angel rules. Full BS on overwatch combines very well with deep striking on objectives. And i will invest my other points in DA bike units, which are just awesome.

I believe Mr. Shine's point is that not all transports in the Gladius are free - only Rhinos, Razors and DP's within the Battle Company, and not, for example, free Land Raiders for terminator units in the Auxiliary choices.

Thank you Orick I was not sure if just one unit could take transport or of all units can take them. it seems a little op to me.

That and pointing out that the rule I expect is worded sufficiently clearly for anyone who actually has the book to understand, while leaving the door open to the possibility the OP might have the rules and be able to point out the bit they're having trouble understanding.

As oppose to the all-too-common reading about the possibility on the internet and coming straight here to ask if it's true and how it works
