Out of town, and can't the make the comparison from my hotel.
Would he fit behind it completely from a height perspective?
A photo would be awesome.

While I can't provide a picture of a direct comparison between the two models, I did manage to find pictures of each model compared to a normal sized infantry model.
Bunker size comparison - http://orig12.deviantart.net/5119/f/2012/365/4/9/imperial_bunker_by_spooky777-d5ptlbm.jpg
Fateweaver comparison - https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2933/14078831213_cb9af24a60_b.jpg
From the looks of the pictures, it seems the bunker is about twice as tall as a normal infantry model, perhaps a bit taller. The fateweaver appears to be roughly the same height (taking into account the modified base). It would most likely be possible to hide fateweaver behind the bunker, especially from the perspective of an enemy infantry model.

You can see nearly 40% of Fateweaver over a bunker.

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

Should be noted you only have to hide Fateweaver's body, i.e. head, torso, arms and legs. Wings for example are ignored for drawing line of sight to a target.

Care to cite rules to back that up?

From 'Line of Sight' within the General Principles section:
"For one model to have line of sight to another, you must be able to trace a straight, unblocked line from its body (the head, torso, arms or legs) to any part of the target's body.
Sometimes all that will be visible of a model is a weapon, banner or some other ornament that he is carrying. In these cases, the model is not visible. Similarly, we ignore wings, tails and antennae even though they are technically part of a model's body."

I think he is talking about the rule on page 14 in the BRB
"For one model to have line of sight to another, you must be able to trace a straight, unblocked line from its body (the head, torso, arms or legs) to any part of the target's body"
It also says to ignore wings tails antennae even though they are technically part of a model's body.

It's easy to assume that people arguing an interpretation you disagree with are just looking for an advantage for themselves... But it's quite often not the case. |
